Long silences are normal: the House once went 54 days without a recorded vote in 2025. Sources: clerk.house.gov EVS XML, senate.gov LIS XML, and congress-legislators for the roster. Votes younger than 72 hours are re-fetched on every sync because the Clerk posts corrections in that window; totals are recomputed from member records, and any disagreement with the published totals is kept on the vote record, not papered over.
